I must admit I have mixed feelings towards halloween. On the one hand it comes during a most fabulous time of year, fall/autumn, which I love. A time when the weather is perfect and the leaves turning and falling are a reminder that change is always happening.
An outward radiance and glow are a reflection of our inner health because our skin gives us clues about what’s going on inside our bodies.
If you are looking to clear up your complexion or maintain your glow over the holiday season, then you will want to pay special attention to what you are eating and make sure you are mindful of the following areas that affect our skin.
Leafy greens are among the healthiest foods we can eat. In fact, a study published in the journal Preventing Chronic Disease, which ranks plant foods for their nutritional value, placed the leafy greens in the top 10.
They are high in nutrients but low in calories meaning they can always be added to a meal to boost its nutrient value without boosting its calorific value.
As the summer heats up the ice cream queues get longer and all our kids are dreaming of a daily cool treat; why not try adding some variety by making some of them at home using the flavors and foods that nature has gifted us with - and a little less of the nasty stuff.
It may surprise you to realize that herbs make a great companion to fruit in a refreshing ice pop!
